LSE - EFA Inspection
EFA Inspection® – Enhanced First ArticleInspection
for assembled printed circuit boards (also intended for the inspection of conformal coatings) Very easy-to-use, customizable import functions of various formats of lists, PCB layouts, Gerber data and assembly positions as well as PDF with designator positions, help with the creation and setup of inspection plans. The system is used in initial sample testing, also known as NPI (New Product Introduction), the introduction of new products in the prototyping, 0-series and pilot series (pre-series) phases up to SOP (Start Of Production). Another application is testing after product changeover, where the inspection also includes the setup check. The inspection is carried out with an operator registration and a comprehensible inspection plan, which specifies the scope, whereby each step must be classified.
The operator’s assessments are used for reworking, traceability or as proof of the tests carried out to prevent serial defects. Filtering (part number or component type) with orientation of the components to the same angle of rotation and a summarized display of the filtered components significantly reduces the time required for the inspection. Integrated AOI functions of the system were presented at the SMT 2024 trade fair. EFA Inspection fits perfectly into the ACHAT5 concept with board handling for inline applications and the interface to VinCam ensures optimum integration in electronics production.
